February has been all about Trevor: some high highs and well... some pretty
lowlows.

It started out great the first of the month with Trevor's 17
th Birthday. Cake, especially mile high Italian
Pandoro, really was a high as he loves the stuff. Trevor got an extra 2 lb. allowance for wrestling so he wasn't worried about his weight,

or having a big slice and stuffing his face.

Then he got his special long awaited b-day package from his girlfriend Sydney

Now that is a genuine smile

Even the tradition family ugly b-day cake had him grinning

Not too hard to guess what he wished for...that his long distance relationship girlfriend could move to Rome.

Well then the lows began to set in.... Trevor hurt his knee in practice and we had to take him to an orthopedic surgeon (who works on the players of the Roma professional soccer team. Ouch-- 200 Euro for that consultation) Trevor couldn't wrestle for a two meets .

Even the cute school cheerleaders couldn't cheer him up.

But he tried hard on the only home meet. The first match he won, but the second and third he lost on points. He had beaten these kids before but just didn't have it for this match.

He looked like he could dominate

but in the end
Sigonella won.

My face and the coaches posture said it all..everyone was
soooo disappointed.

The last match of the day Trevor dug deep and slammed Naples on the mat

Trevor pinned him solidly.

But Trevor did not place high enough in Sectionals to make it to the European Championship.... truly a low blow.
And to add insult to injury, the kick off for his Eagle Scout project (selling caramel popcorn at the Embassy movie night), did not reap big dividends. We stood in kitchen for two solid days making hundreds of bags of popcorn and hoping to make 300 Euro towards the
AED. He earned about a hundred Euro and came back with 5o unsold bags. Everyone wanted butter popcorn, not sweet.

Dejected but not beaten, Trevor is hoping March is a better month...maybe the rain will stop, the sun will come out and the the
bb-q and car wash will help reap greater dividends towards purchasing the
AED (Automated Electronic Defibrillator - for heart attacks). If not, the only recourse he sees is flying Sydney in for some mouth to mouth
resuscitation.

Hey Trev, Do you know where we could get fifty bags of Carmel corn? No Seriously!
Actually, we would be happy to donate to the Sydney Resuscitation fund!
We are VERY Proud of your wrestling! Paxton loves the pictures and looks up to you so much! He starts practicing this March! Ryan
Mouth to Mouth is good for any sad boy!:) WOW, what a month. Sometimes life just STINKS!!!!! Luckily you are only half Bastian so you only have half the curse, so things can only get bad half the time right!;)
Cheer up Trev, just eat some more cake. That always makes me feel better, well, sometimes. You are a fantastic wrestler, you don't need no stinkin' medal!:)
