Performing Arts

As the end of the school year draws nigh, Natalie has been busy with numerous parties, activities and creative endeavors. She amazed us all with her drawings this last week....we knew she liked to doodle but had no idea she could sketch so well. She saw her legs in a reflection on her window while she was doing her homework and drew them perfectly. We are enrolling her in art class next year.

She has also been playing the drum and finger chimes for the Shakespeare play "Macbeth" the High School put on this last week. During the dramatic scene where Macbeth stabs Duncan

She had an eerie, drum number and did really well. Guess all that drum playing on PS3 "Rock Band" paid off. She wants to be enrolled in drum lessons now.

Then she had a mixed concert with a symphony from EUR.

She and her peers played John Ryan's Polka.

And they played parts in 'The Magic Flute." The conductor was a prima donna and entertained us just as much. Natalie is hidden over his left shoulder.

It's hard being the only girl in a household with intelligent, talented brothers but Little Nat is holding her own!
